Frederick Kobak

Frederick Kobak, 80, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at his home.
The son of Andrew and Rose (Topic) Kobak, he was born June 23, 1938 in Adrian, Armstrong Co., PA.
Prior to his retirement in 1993, he worked for Helen Mining.
Mr. Kobak loved music, especially polkas.  He was a very handyman and enjoyed tinkering around the house.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Pamela J. (Naugle) Kobak whom he married April 18, 1970; a son, Eric J. Kobak of Blairsville and a daughter, Kristy Kobak of Nekoosa, WI; three grandchildren, Andrew Kobak, Katelyn Grotefend and Ian Grotefend and two sisters, Rose Marie Colish of New Stanton and Magdalene Ochs of Camp Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Andrew and two sisters, Betty Barris and Margaret Kobak.
The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Thursday at the funeral with Mr. Ray McIntire officiating.
Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.
The family requests, memorial donations be made to the Indiana County Humane Society, 191 Airport Road, Indiana, PA 15701, in memory of Mr. Kobak.
