Dorothy J. Minarcik

Dorothy Jean (Ewing) Minarcik, 88, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Roy M. and Laura A. (Howard) Ewing, she was born November 22, 1930 in Livermore, PA.
Mrs. Minarcik graduated from Elders Ridge High School, Class of 1949.
She was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, Third Friday Sewing Circle and a member of the former Blairsville Grange #2012.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, Pam Paouncic (Mike) of Blairsville; Susan Leonard (Jerome) of Blairsville; Donna Laughlin of New Alexandria; Harry Ewing (Sharon) of Blairsville; Ronald Ewing (Janice) of Valencia; Donald Ewing (Lori) of Blairsville; Robert Fleming (Mary) of Torrance; several great nieces and nephews and a special grandniece, Lisa Resslar of New Alexandria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Minarcik in 1968, twin brothers, Howard Ewing and Harry Ewing, sister, Mabel Fleming Wilson, two sisters-in-law, Mary Ewing and Gladys Ewing and a nephew, Wayne Ewing.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.
Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
A special thank you to Dr. Klain and the staff at the Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville, where she was a resident the last five years.
