Sara A. Gabelli

Sara Ann (Libengood) Gabelli, 83, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in The Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Arthur and Grace (Forsha) Libengood, she was born September 15, 1935 in Strangford, PA.
Mrs. Gabelli graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 1954 and was a member of Strangford United Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker and was known for making homemade ravioli and black raspberry jelly.
She loved her cats, enjoyed crocheting, knitting and working outside  her home.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Robert J. Gabelli whom she married April 23, 1956; a son, Gary L. Gabelli of Blairsville; a daughter, Sherri A. Dell (Jeff) of Blairsville and three sisters, Doris Ingram of Grand Prairie, TX; Donna McCrea (Bob) of Blairsville and Marilyn Parisi (Larry) of Butler and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Dale, Albert and Wayne Libengood and two sisters, Eileen Minick and Erma Olson.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
The family requests memorial donations be made in memory of Sara to the American Cancer Society, 510 Pellis Road, Greensburg, PA  15601 or donate blood in her memory.
