Cody R. Dunmire

Cody Robert Dunmire, 25, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home.

The son of Harold G. Dunmire, Jr. and Leann J. Nicholson, he was born September 25, 1992 in Latrobe, PA.

Cody graduated from Blairsville High School, Class of 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Indiana University of Pa and was studying for his master’s degree in English Composition and Literature.

He loved to read.

Surviving are his parents, Harold G. Dunmire, Jr. (Lisa) of Blairsville and Leann J. Nicholson (Kevin Carrozza) of Blairsville; sister, Alexis N. Dunmire of Blairsville; four brothers, Daryl S. Dunmire (Nicole) of Indiana; Kyle M. Dunmire of Blairsville; Joseph S. Pandullo, Jr. (Rachael) of Homer City and Michael J. Duffey (Hayley Walczer) of Richmond, VA; maternal grandparents, Ray and Nancy Deleandro of Blairsville; paternal grandparents, Edwin and Kay Leary of Indiana and Connie Leary of Blairsville; several aunts, uncles and cousins and his special four footed friend, Chewie.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert A. Nicholson, Sr. and paternal grandparents, Harold G. Dunmire, Sr. and Theresa (McAdams) Dunmire.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor John Buchmann officiating.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
