Domenic R. Bertolino

Domenic Robert Bertolino, 83, of New Florence, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The son of Robert and Angelina (Tedeski) Bertolino, he was born September 12, 1934 in Brush Valley Twp., PA.

Mr. Bertolino was a member of SS Simon & Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, VFW Post #5821, Blairsville, and American Legion Post #128, Bolivar.

He was a veteran of the Navy, having served in the Korean War and prior to his retirement, he worked for Oneida Mine as a machinist.

He loved working in his machine shop and enjoyed playing horseshoes and bowling.

Surviving are three sons, Robert W. Bertolino (Lucy) of Ligonier; Michael A. Bertolino (fianceé, Dawn Nelen) of Blairsville and Ricky A. Bertolino (fiancée, Pam Mathews) of Blairsville; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, Albert Bertolino of Blairsville; three sisters, Annette Kerzan of Indiana; Jean Leonard of Blairsville and Dorothy Shrum of Blairsville and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Joann (Dias) Bertolino in 2017.

The family will receive from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay officiating.

Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.

Military services will be accorded by Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
