Thomas Michael Jacobson, 71, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The son of Kaye D. and Elrene J. (Irvine) Jacobson, he was born December 28, 1946 in La Crosse, WI.

Tom graduated from Galesville-Ettrick High School, Galesville, WI, Class of 1965, where he served as class president and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

He was a US Navy veteran.

Prior to his retirement, he worked for 33 years at FMC Technologies, Homer City.

Tom was protestant by faith and was attending the First Baptist Church, Blairsville, and was the former president of the Indiana Evergreen Quartets.

He enjoyed his many friends at the Chestnut Hills Social Center where he played pool daily, was an avid Steelers and Green Bay Packer football fan and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.

Surviving are his sister, Karlene Elder (Bruce) of Greensburg; niece, Holly Elder Lehman of Greensburg; nephew, Chad Elder of Pittsburgh and a grandniece, Ryanne Lehman of Greensburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.

Interment will be private.
