Marilyn E. “Pepper” (Thomas) Hill, 73, of Perryopolis, PA passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
The daughter of Alton Leroy and Eltye Lovell (Lenhardt) Thomas, she was born June 27, 1944 in Indiana, PA.
Pepper graduated from Blairsville High School in 1963 and from Westmoreland County Community College in nursing.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening and building homes.
Surviving are her husband, William E. Hill whom she married September 17, 1965; three daughters, Tracey L. Birri (Larry) of Sugar Creek, OH; Jacqueline Eve Tackett (fiancé, Steven Harber) of Jeannette and Genevieve E. Jones (Larry) of Greensburg; eight grandchildren, Jareth, Rachel, Nick, Adam, Joshua, Tori, Jasmine and Jordan and one great grandchild, J.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tom and Don and a sister, Rosale.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. There will be no funeral service.
A Legacy of Unconditional Love, “Half of me has gone away and I’m sad because that’s the half that provided unconditional love, temperance of spirit and restraint when my half got out of control.” Rest in peace, love.
