Scott Robert Anderson, 50, of Ashburn, VA, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Inova Loudoun Hospital, Leesburg, VA.
The son of Jeffrey Scot and Beverly E. (McConnell) Anderson, he was born May 26, 1967 in Weymouth, MA.
Scott graduated from Granby Memorial High School, Granby, CT and from the University of Connecticut. He worked for PNC Bank in mortgage lending.
Scott loved taking his girls to the park, zoo, Kings Island, camping, hiking and fishing because he “wanted to make memories.”
He loved his daughters so deeply that he would let them paint his fingernails pink and purple even before going to work in the morning. He often had tea parties and wore frilly hats and bows while speaking in a British accent. He was the dad who would stay up late on the weekends with a bowl of popcorn watching Disney movies while he “camped out” with his daughters. He taught Abigail how to throw a spiral and her spiral was the envy of the boys in the neighborhood.
Scott was smart, loving, funny and generous. He was the man who had family and friends who wanted to be around him. He loved to sing and play the guitar.
When he met Shannon he knew she was special and took her on a hot air balloon ride for their first date to see the sun set over Del Mar, CA. He said “she was the love of his life.”
