Ronald J. Vance

Ronald Jeffrey Vance, 61, of Harrison, Ohio, formerly of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Mercy Health West Hospital, Monfort Heights, Ohio.

The son of Ronald R. Vance and Beverly J. (Bennett) Vance Markel, he was born November 23, 1956 in Blairsville, PA.

Ron graduated from Blairsville High School in 1974 and was a veteran of the US Navy.

He worked for Time Warner as a cable installer and loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey Vance of Clymer and Jake Vance of Hamilton, Ohio; daughter, Jessica Vance of Hamilton, Ohio; three brothers, Thomas Vance of Commodore; Kerry Vance of Norvelt and David Vance of Export and a sister, Raylene Barboza of Tavares, Florida; four grandchildren, Jenna Vance and Nora Hamilton of Harrison, OH and Leo and Allison Vance of Clymer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
