Carol Joan “Muckle” (George) Frailey, 84, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at her home.
The daughter of Wayne F. and Marguerite (Wright) George, she was born November 20, 1933 in Starford, PA,
Mrs. Frailey was a member of The United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, where she helped with the food bank and helped with church dinners.
She graduated from Laura Lamar High School in 1951 and worked as a psychiatric aide at Torrance State Hospital for 28 years.
She enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
Surviving are four daughters, Cathy J. “Kate” Fritz (Jack) of Blairsville; Carla J. Shirley (Pat) of Blairsville; Cherie J. McNulty (Dr. Tim) of Butler and Christin J. Platt of Blairsville; seven grandchildren, Jackie Douglas (Steve); Caleb Fritz; Nicole Bukosky (Adam); Kayla Guilford (Robert); Kelly McNulty; Jessica McNulty and Brandon Platt; one great grandson, Jacob Bukosky and a sister Jean Weightman of Harrison City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Frailey and three brothers, Duane George, Vaughn George and Pete George.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery.
