Marvin Hugh Bailey, 90, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Village, Indiana, PA.
The son of George A. and Martha (Ledford) Bailey, he was born November 13, 1927 in Masontown, PA.
Mr. Bailey was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses, Blairsville.
He was a US Army veteran and worked for Iron Workers Local Union No.3, Pittsburgh, until he became disabled in 1968.
He previously liked to work around the house in the garden and enjoyed working on small engine repairs.
Surviving are his son, Mark Bailey and his wife, Janeen of Blairsville; three grandchildren, Nichol Nolf, Derrick Bailey and Kent Bailey; two great grandchildren, Avriona Bailey and Camden Bailey; sister, Erna Jones of Ligonier and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary (Ash) Bailey; second wife, Charlotte (Overly) Bailey; three brothers, Bessemer Bailey, Eimer “Jay” Bailey and Carl Bailey;six sisters, Romae Fatora, Bernice Beaumarriage, Nellie Campbell, Tini Carradine, Minnie Murray and Edna Stockdale.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Gene Jones officiating.
Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.
