Betty Jane (Brenneman) Roarabaugh, 91 of Black Lick, PA passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA
The daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Miller) Brenneman, she was born June 9, 1926 in Woodbury Twp., Blair Co., PA.
Mrs. Roarabaugh was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Williamsburg, and attended the Black Lick United Methodist Church. She was a member of the National Grange, Scotch Valley Grange, Homer City American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Homer City Senior Citizens and the Shriners Widow Club.
She graduated from Williamsburg High School, Class of 1943 and worked for West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company for 12 years and she also worked for the US Stamped Envelope Company for eight years.
Surviving are her brother, Charles M. “Chick” Brenneman and wife, Betty J. of Williamsburg and a sister-in-law, Joyce Brenneman of Duncansville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Donald L. Roarabaugh whom she married June 22, 1953 and passed away in 2004; two brothers, James R. and George F.; two sisters, Margaret Rose and Dorothy M. Showalter and a sister-in-law, Anna Mary Brenneman.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where prayers and scripture will be led at 4 P.M. Sunday with Rev. Brett Dinger. Additional visitation will be held from 1 to 3 P.M. Monday at the Church of the Brethren, Williamsburg, where a funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. with Rev. Brett Dinger officiating.
Interment will be in Shellytown Fairview Cemetery, Williamsburg, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Homer City, PA.
