Mary Jane Clawson

Mary Jane (Cramer) Clawson, 75, of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at her home.

The daughter, Samuel B. Cramer, Sr. and Mary Frances (Swasy) Cramer, she was born May 23, 1942 in Blacklick Twp., PA.

Mary Jane graduated from Blairsville High School in 1960. She worked at Fours Sewing Factory, Blairsville, and she and her husband were partners in Clawson Gun Shop, Blairsville, for many years.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and gardening around the house.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Gary M. Clawson, Sr. whom she married January 6, 1961; son, Gary M. Clawson, Jr. (Tracy) of Blairsville; two daughters, Erica L. Swiencki (Joe) of Blairsville and Cara L. Houser of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Ben Clawson, Samantha Clawson, Frankie Houser, Jake Swiencki and Cassidy Houser; brother, Samuel B. Cramer, Jr. (Eileen) of Derry and a sister, Linda Minerd (Bruce) of Suttersville; brother-in-law, Michael Orange of Grove City; brother-in-law, William Clawson (Debbie) of Blairsville; sister-in-law, Paula (Clawson) Wotus (Joe) of New Alexandria and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Virginia Orange.

As per Mary Jane’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
