Mary E. Durika

Mary E. (Marshall) Durika, 87, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at her home.

The daughter of John and Emma (Hutton) Marshall, she was born February 2, 1930 in Greensburg, PA.

Mrs. Durika graduated from Harrold Junior High School in 1946 and from Jeannette High School in 1948.

She was a retired dairy farmer and a retired produce farmer for Durika’s Farm Fresh Produce for 49 years.

Surviving are three children, a daughter, Carol A. Durika of Blairsville; a son, David J. Durika (Kimberly) of Blairsville and a daughter, Nancy J. Durika of Alexandria, VA; two granddaughters, Deanna and Leanna Durika and a sister, Clara Robb of Jeannette and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph L. “Shorty” Durika on August 31, 2004; a brother, George Marshall and two sisters, Margaret Rupert and Ruth M. Bush.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Ronald G. Durika officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
