Michael E. Mocek

Michael Edward Mocek, 39, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home.

The son of Stephen E. Mocek and Diane E. (Miller) Good, he was born September 9, 1978 in Indiana, PA.

Mike graduated from Blairsville High School in 1997 and worked for Nonlethal Technologies, Inc., Aultman, PA.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved all Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers.

Surviving are his children, Skyler Mocek, Cody Mocek, Jacob Mocek and Savannah Mocek, all of Black Lick; his father, Stephen (Kimberly) Mocek of Black Lick; mother, Diane (Kevin) Good of Greensburg; paternal grandmother, Margaret Mocek of Black Lick; two brothers and two sisters, Stacie Mocek of Coral; Neil Miller of Greensburg; Kevin Good of Homer City and Amber McKenzie of Irwin; an aunt and uncle, Susan (William) Platt of Blairsville; and cousins, Travis Platt and Kyle Platt.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa in 2015; paternal grandfather, Theodore Mocek in 2002; an uncle, Joseph Mocek in 2015 and his maternal grandparents.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor David Kimball officiating.

Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
