Robert Kand

Robert Kand, 77, of Blairsville, PA (Burrell Twp.) passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.
The son of Morris and Lillian (Fuchs) Kand, he was born June 24, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Kand worked as a laborer.
He enjoyed going to antique car shows and watching animals around the house.
Surviving are his life companion for the past 30 years, Jean D. (Griffin) Garnes; three stepchildren, Tauna (Rick) Bolhmann of Audubon, IA; Paul (Imelda) Garnes of Corpus Christi, TX and Margaret (John) Cole of South Solon, OH and nine grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ben, Zachary, Christopher, Melissa, Brandon, BreeAnna, Mike and Cassie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor John Johnson officiating.
Interment will be in Waldheim Cemetery, Forest Park, IL.
