Delores M. Wise

Delores Merita (Koontz) Wise, 83, of Indiana, PA passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Vickie L. Lovelace, in Shelocta, PA.

The daughter of Norman and Alverta (Yutzy) Koontz, she was born October 25, 1933 in Somerset, PA.

Mrs. Wise was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana, and had worked at Indiana Regional Medical Center as a nurse’s aide.

She was a compassionate caregiver to her son, Robin and brothers, Norman and Ray.

She collected dolls, liked going to auctions and sales, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

Surviving are a son and two daughters, Robin A. Wise of Indiana; Dawn L. (Joe) Zoldak of Homer City and Vickie L. Lovelace (significant other, Bryan Burnheimer) of Shelocta; four grandchildren, Michele J. Zoldak, Jessica L. Zoldak, Tyler M. Robbins and Kirsten N. Robbins; a great granddaughter, Oakley L. Kruk; a brother, Ray Koontz of Indiana and her special four footed friend, Wiggles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Wise in 2002 and two brothers, Norman Koontz and Kenneth Koontz.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Spiker officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
