Mark Joseph Marron, 54, of King of Prussia, PA, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at home following a nearly two year battle with cancer.
The son of Joseph and Gloria (Gordish) Marron, he was born August 4, 1962 in Indiana, PA.
Mark graduated from Derry Area High School in 1980 and from Indiana University of PA in 1986.
He worked at the Williamson Trade School and for 25 years at the Martin Luther School.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Stacy (Taylor) Marron whom he married April 25, 1987; his parents, Joseph and Gloria Marron of Blairsville; maternal grandmother, Frances Gordish of Blairsville; two brothers and three sisters, Valerie (David) Conrad of Blairsville; Matthew (Kathy) Marron of Newark, DE; Angela (David) Rhea of Blairsville; Rosann (Eric) Carney of Thompson’s Station, TN and Eric (Josephine) Marron of Beaverton, OR; mother-in-law, Mercedes Taylor of Monroeville; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Moss of Blairsville and Sam (Melody) Taylor of Baltimore, MD; sister-in-law, Sandy (Mark) Cherewka of Mechanicsburg; numerous nieces and nephews; a great nephew, Alex; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Maureen (Marron) Moss; maternal grandfather, Eugene Gordish; paternal grandparents; John Sr. and Margaret Marron; father-in-law, Maurice Taylor and several aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Fr. Stephen R. Bugay officiating.
