Roger A. Lenhardt

Roger Allen Lenhardt, 67, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at his home.

The son of Robert F. Lenhardt and Mildred (Mack) Lenhardt Mushrush, he was born August 10, 1949 in Indiana, PA.

Roger graduated from Blairsville High School in 1967 and from Indiana University of PA in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science in math education.

He was a veteran of the Army and was a member of the Blairsville American Legion Post #0407 and an active member of the Blairsville Military Service Group.

He was the owner of Lenhardt Construction, Blairsville, for 22 years, worked for Allstate Insurance Company for six years and was currently working part-time for Bergman Hardware.

Roger enjoyed going for coffee in the morning at McDonalds, loved spending time with his family and driving his mustang.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Judy A. (Stewart) Lenhardt whom he married October 21, 1972; a son, Bill Lenhardt of Blairsville; two grandsons, Tyler Lenhardt and Travis Lenhardt; a brother, Robert (Jean) Lenhardt of Sewickley and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Lawrence Mushrush and an infant brother, William.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating.

Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
