Carol J. Dunmire

Carol Jean (Cunningham) Dunmire, 63, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.

The daughter of Vincent and Deloris (Allman) Cunningham, she was born April 6, 1954 in Ellwood City, PA.

Carol graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1972 and worked as a clerk.

She was a member of the CrossRoads Community Church, Blairsville, and attended Senior Life, Indiana, three days a week.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, writing poems, arts and crafts.

Surviving are her mother, Deloris Cunningham of Fombell; a son, Brian Dunmire of Blairsville; a daughter, Michelle Blystone (Joe) of Blairsville; four grandchildren, Kelsey Shank, Brandi Hebenthal, Brian Dunmire, Jr. and Travis Dunmire; one great grandchild, Sebastian Shank; brother, Terry Cunningham of Fombell and fiancé, Gary Krannacker of Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, James D. Dunmire, Jr. on September 20, 2010 and a brother, Vincent Cunningham.

As per Carol’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Pastor Fred W. Craig officiating.
