June 29, 1931 — April 7, 2017

            Jay L. Little, Jr., 85, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Lynn Haven Personal Care Home, Black Lick, PA.           The son of Jay L. Little, Sr. and Bertha (Bolen) Little, he was born June 29, 1931 in Conemaugh Twp., PA.           Mr. Little graduated from Elders Ridge High School in 1949 and attended IUP for two years.           He was the owner of Jay Little Drilling Company for 35 years, retiring in 1998 and was a veteran of the Air Force serving in the Korean War.           He formerly attended Hillside United Methodist Church; member and past master of Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, Blairsville; member of Coudersport Consistory; BPOE #406, Blairsville; life member of VFW Post #5821, Blairsville and a member of the former Blairsville Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star.           Surviving are a son, Jay A. Little (Mandy) of Albemarle, NC; three daughters, Joyce Greece (Jim) of Clarksburg; Cheryl Wiley of Saltsburg and Gail Frassenei of Silverton, Or; stepson, Robert Ramsden (Nancy) of New Alexandria; stepdaughter, Sally Harris (Paul) of Blairsville; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Elmer Little of Home and a sister, Edith Scott of Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews.           He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther Susan (Mardis) Little on May 20, 2013; grandson, Alex Frassenei; brother, Paul Little and sister, Clara Repine.           The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Duffalo officiating.           Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Clarksburg, PA.           Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM will have services in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 P.M.           Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407 will accord military services at the cemetery.
