Dennis W. Marsh

Dennis W. “Wiley” Marsh, 59, of Blairsville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 at his home.
The son of Jesse R. and Lillian V. (Boring) Marsh, he was born November 2nd, 1957 in Latrobe, PA
Dennis Wayne Marsh, known as Wiley to his friends and family, Dad to his daughters and son, and Pappy to his many grandchildren, who absolutely adored him. Wiley graduated from Derry Area High School in 1976 and from the American Locksmith Institute as a bonded locksmith. He was a member of the Derry Rod and Gun Club and AFSCME union.
He was a talented and creative craftsman who built beautiful things for his family including cabinets, benches, money banks with postage door locks, and one really big Barbie doll house. He was a hard worker who retired from Torrance State Hospital after 35 years of service. After retirement, he continued working as a contractor and spent the rest of his time with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Lorri J. Marsh of Blairsville, PA, his daughters, Jessica M. Lipsey and husband Shaun of Ormond Beach, FL, Jamie A. Kimmel and her fiancé Damian of Shelocta, PA, Kilee J. Robinson and husband Preston of Greensburg, PA, Lindsay A. Koss and husband Brad of Ebensburg, PA, and Nicole R. Alaaeldin and husband Amir of Daytona Beach, FL, and his son, Jeremiah D. Marsh of Blairsville, PA, and his grandchildren Rayna, Mikey, Nevaeh, Ava, Dakota, Isaiah, Destiny, Alex, Brayden, Katelin, Dalayna, Yara, Charlotte, and Amaria. Also, his brothers Jesse Marsh and wife Mary of Pinole, California, James Marsh and his late wife Martha of Aiken, SC, Samuel Marsh and his wife Patty of Ligonier, PA, and Daniel Marsh and his wife Bernadeth of Derry, PA, and Mother in Law Linda Burnworth of South Connellsville, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse R. and Lillian V. Boring Marsh; grandparents and by his first wife Kimberly I. McDonald Marsh.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Brett M. Dinger officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
