Timothy James McDonald, 26, of Homer City, PA passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017 at his home.
The son of Timothy L. McDonald and Robin L. (Ferrell) Porter, he was born March 15, 1990 in Latrobe, PA.
He played football and wrestled at Indiana High School. Tim graduated from Derry Area High School in 2008 and worked as a chef at The Villa, Blairsville.
He enjoyed cooking for others, playing the guitar, mandolin and bass, singing, hiking and being in the outdoors. He was an activist and involved in local politics.
Surviving are his father, Timothy L. McDonald of Wilmington, IL; mother, Robin L. Porter of Durham, NC; three brothers, Ryan McDonald (Stefanie) of Sunbury; Jasper McDonald of Sunbury and Daniel Nicholson of Homer City; two sisters, Ashley Porter of Durham, NC and Lacie McDonald of Pittsburgh; three nephews, Zaven, Ryley and Daniel and a niece, Mayah and paternal grandmother, Elsie McDonald of Blairsville,
A private visitation and service with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating were held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
