Dorothy J. Taylor

Dorothy Jean (Moore) Taylor, 83, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Bonnie Conigliaro.

The daughter of William H. and Mary E. (Ewing) Moore, she was born November 12, 1933 in Black Lick, PA.

Mrs. Taylor worked as a nurse’s aide in various nursing homes in the area.

She loved reading, going to casinos, and being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are four children, George Willis of West Virginia; Robin Coulson (Walt) of Lebanon, TN; Deborah Skedel (Stanley) of New Florence and Bonny Conigliaro (Sal) of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Christopher Clevenger, Joseph Skedel, Brittany Skedel, Carly Conigliaro and Salina Conigliaro; two brothers, John Moore of Alabama and Adam Moore of Mansfield, OH; three sisters, Ruth Mabry of Mansfield, OH; Arleen Giordan (William) of Latrobe and Carol Ann Dilts (Terry) of Torrance, CA and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Taylor and a brother, Lloyd Moore.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating.

Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
