Dorothy Hazel (Alexander) Seiring, 94, of Black Lick, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 26, 2016 in the Communities at Indian Haven, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Charles C. and Emma (Shaffer) Alexander, she was born September 10, 1922 in Grafton, PA.
Mrs. Seiring was a member of the Black Lick Presbyterian Church, Burrell Twp. Park and Recreation Board and an honorary life member of the National PTA.
She loved traveling, being with family and friends, baking and watching deer and birds outside of her window.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna L. Winsheimer (Earl) of Indiana and Deborah S. Smith (Paul) of Coral; numerous nieces and nephews and two special friends, Doris Wiley and Mary Demeter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles in 1987; five brothers, Joseph, Samuel, Clifford, Donald and Leroy; sister, Harriett McDowell and a niece, Robin (Alexander) Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Black Lick Presbyterian Church, Black Lick, with Rev. Katie Ward Stear officiating.
Interment will be in Luther Chapel Cemetery, Coral, PA.
