Roxie A. Bruzda

Roxie Ann (Crusan) Bruzda, 88, of Saltsburg, PA passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.

The daughter of David M. and Effie E. (Horrell) Crusan, she was born October 5, 1928 in Tunnelton, PA.

Mrs. Bruzda attended the Tunnelton Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Tunnelton Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Mrs. Bruzda was co-owner with her husband, Joe, of Joe’s Place, Tunnelton.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Joseph Bruzda whom she married July 27, 1955; four children, David J. (Peggy) Bruzda of Saltsburg; Michael R. Bruzda of Tunnelton; John S. (Barb) Bruzda of Tunnelton and Mary Ann (Brad) Hornick of Mt. Pleasant; nine grandchildren, Janice (Scott) Jordan, Amanda (Anthony) Darazio, David (Sarah) Bruzda, Layla Bruzda, Ginae Bruzda (fiancé, Brody), Ginelle (Kyle) Lightner, Ginine Bruzda, Ashlyn Hornick and Ty Hornick; five great grandchildren, Brianna, Aiden, Alexa, Kendall and Reagan; brother-in-law, Michael Bruzda of Saltsburg and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara E. Bruzda in 1978; four brothers, Ralph, Harry, Sam and Merle Crusan; two sisters, Ruby Murphy and Nellie McGuire and two infant siblings.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.

Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg, PA.
