Dorothy J. Peterson

Dorothy Jean (Gess) Peterson, 90, of Black Lick, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at her home.

The daughter of Thomas A. and Margaret (McAdams) Gess, she was born January 19, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Dorothy loved being with her family.

She is survived by a special granddaughter with whom she resided, Debbra McAdams of Black Lick and 5 other grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a brother, Robert D. McAdams of Linesville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Peterson in 1981 and a son, Thomas A. McAdams in 2008.

As per Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service.

Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
