Anthony James Trenney, 88, of Blairsville, PA, (Brenizer) passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home.
The son of Anthony P. and Catherine (Fox) Trenney, he was born September 9, 1927 in Evanstown, PA.
Mr. Trenney was a member of the Luxor United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #981, South Greensburg and VFW Post #5821, Blairsville.
He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant.
He enjoyed being with his family and his pet, yearly reunions and smoking big cigars.
Surviving are his daughter, Michelle L. Trenney of Greensburg; granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Campbell (Ryan Michael Campbell); great grandson, Aidan Michael Campbell; daughter-in-law, Becky Lynn Trenney-Koon of Redmond, OR; brother, Tom Trenney (Beverly) of Perry, OH; 3 sisters, Audrey Way of Maui, HI; Eileen Smith (David) of Mentor, OH and Joanne Kubisteck of Golden, CO and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Eve (Baker) Trenney in 1997; second wife, Donna (Johnson) Neal Trenney in 2010; son, Rick Trenney in 2007; three brothers, Charles “Herk” Trenney, Ronald Trenney and Franklin Trenney; five sisters, Anna Mae Lewis, Dorothy Patz, Virginia Monnich, Edith Hill and Ginny Whitehead.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Tammy Falcsik officiating.
Interment will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg, PA.
Military services will accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
