            Arthur Melvin Baker, 85, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services, Monroeville, PA.           A lifelong Blairsville resident, he was born June 10, 1930, one of eleven children of Joseph and Katherine (Griffith) Baker of Ranson Ave., Blairsville.           Mr. Baker was a member of St. Joseph Church, Derry, PA.           He was an avid car enthusiast, and once owned the Keystone Service Station in Blairsville. He retired from Blairsville Westinghouse in 1997, giving him more time to enjoy old Westerns, Pittsburgh sports and taking his dog for daily rides in the car.           Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Nancy A. (Boyle) Baker whom he married October 19, 1957; three children, Michaeleene “Mickey” of Pittsburgh; Sean of Coatesville and Jenny of Missoula, MT; six siblings, Joseph Baker of Wilmington, DE; Raymond “Andy” Baker of Blairsville; Edward Baker of Wilmington, DE; Peg Leicht of Etters; Edie Mae Scobel of Blairsville and Mildred Pittman of Blairsville and several nieces and nephews.           He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Pete and William Baker and Martha and Dorothy Baker.           The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday in St. Joseph Church, Derry, PA.           Interment will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery, Derry, PA.           In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children-Philadelphia, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140; Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Road, Indiana, PA 15701 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
