Cheryl L. Williams

Cheryl L. (Edwards) Williams, 56, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at her home.

The daughter of Benjamin and Cora B. (Smith) Edwards, she was born February 19, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Cheryl was a member of Victory Christian Assembly, Indiana, PA.

She graduated from Westinghouse High School and worked for PPG Industries before working for Penn Dot for 33 years, retiring on April 1, 2016, as head of the secretarial department.

She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends.

Cheryl was a loving and caring wife and mother.

Surviving is her husband, Gary L. Williams whom she married November 1, 1980; son, Joshua L. Williams of Blairsville; six sisters, Yvonne Smith of Maryland; Barbara Jobe of Monroeville; Esther Hester of Maryland; Marion Edwards of Knoxville, TN; Sandra Lindsey of Knoxville, TN and a special sister, Trina Pryor of Greensburg; mother-in-law, Mary Williams of Blairsville; brother-in-law, Terry Williams of Glendale, AZ and a cherished host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Aaron Jobe.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Christ Temple Ministries, Brenizer, with Bishop A. Melvin Jenkins officiating.

Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
