Jeffrey K. Pittard

Jeffrey K. Pittard, 43, of Indiana, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at his home.

The son of Thomas J. Pittard and Linda L. (Lindsey) Risinger, he was born April 1, 1973 in McKeesport, PA.

Jeff graduated from Blairsville High School in 1992 and was employed by Comcast but had spent most of his career working for his family's business.

He attended the Summit Church, Indiana, and was a member of Williamson Lodge #431 F&AM, Saltsburg, and Jaffa Shrine, Altoona.

Jeff enjoyed experiencing everything in life, traveling, collecting items he found interesting and cooking.

He loved spending time with his family and was a great husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving is his wife, Rebecca L. Pizer whom he married January 7, 2012; a son, Zachary M. Hafer of Harrisville, WV; a daughter, Allison M. Pizer and her fiancé, Justin McKivigan of Butler; a grandchild, Connor J. McKivigan; a brother, J. Nicholas Risinger of Indiana; a sister, Lindsey Risinger and her husband, Ryan Keener of Blairsville; paternal grandmother, Ida Schenck of Phoenix, AZ and maternal grandmother, Theresa Lindsey of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, William Risinger; paternal grandfather, Howard Pittard and maternal grandfather, Kenneth Lindsey.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Flaherty officiating.

Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
