Alice Dunmire

Alice (Bruner) Dunmire, 77, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at her home.

The daughter of Wilbur and Anna Mae (Clawson) Bruner, she was born February 17, 1938 in Indiana, PA.

Alice was a member of the Indiana Church of Christ, Indiana, PA and owned and operated Alice’s Beauty Salon for over 50 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and working with ceramics.

Surviving are her husband, Glenn Dunmire of 55 years whom she married May 28, 1960, a son, G. Michael Dunmire, Sr. (Denise) of Blairsville, two daughters, Vicki Walker of Naples, FL and Brenda Sharp (Rich) of Blairsville, seven grandchildren, Glenn Dunmire, Clinton Dunmire, Autumn Dunmire, Nyssa Dunmire, Kamron Walker, Bryce Walker, and Lindsay Sharp, two great granddaughters, Bonnie Lindsey and Lorraine Lindsey, two sisters, Patty McGinity of Indiana, and Grace Sulkosky (Leroy) of Blairsville, and a brother, Butch Bruner of Sanford, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John, Emmert, Chuck, and William, two sisters, Ruth Silvus and Ethel Wheeler.

Private visitation and funeral service with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating will be held at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA.
