Margaret Shubuck

Margaret (Pollock) Shubuck, 93, of Brenizer, Pa passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home.

The daughter of George and Julia (Biro) Pollock, she was born October 1, 1922 in Avella (Washington Co.), PA.

Margaret was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville, PA and worked as a receptionist for 20 years at Torrance State Hospital.

She loved to cook and going to the casinos with her special friend, John Malek.

Surviving are two sons, John W. Shubuck (Linda) of Amherst, NY and Jules Shubuck (Michele) of Westmoreland City, PA; two grandchildren, Shella Millet and Simone Shubuck; one great grandchild, Marlon Rapoport; and a brother, John Pollock of Brenizer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mike Shubuck in 1982; a special friend, John Malek in 2015 and three brothers, Mike, Chuck and Pete Pollock.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A Panachida service will be held at 9:15 A.M. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville, PA.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bradenville, PA.
