Lula Belle Clawson, 99, formerly of Blacklick Twp., PA passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA.
The daughter of Edward D. and Elizabeth E. (Houston) Clawson, she was born August 13, 1916 in Black Lick Twp., PA.
Lula lived her entire life in Blacklick Twp. and was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, Indiana, PA.
She is survived by a special niece, Alice Dunmire and her husband, Glenn of Blairsville and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, John Theodore “Ted” Clawson in 1995; three sisters, Anna Bruner, Nora McDowell and Ethel Mae Isenberg and six brothers, John, Albert, James, Melvin, Paul and George Clawson.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St. Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Cory A. Braatz officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
