Debra Ann (McGinity) Fisher, 55, of Blairsville, PA (Strangford) passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at her home. The daughter of Norman L. and Edna G. (Waddle) McGinity, she was born November 11, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio. Debra was a member of the Strangford United Methodist Church. She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1978, had her cosmetology license and graduated from Indiana County Technology Center as an LPN. She loved to cook, bake and her dog, Zeus. Her family gathered at her home on weekends and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her son, Justin L. Fisher and his wife, Kristen of New Florence; a brother, Daniel McGinity and his wife, Melissa of Blairsville and a sister, Darla Taylor and her husband, Bill of Blairsville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald J. “George” Fisher in 1992. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday with Rev. Brett M. Dinger officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
