Catherine Helen (Lukcik) Voiku, 94, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe, PA. The daughter of Martin J. and Maria (Sedmak) Lukcik, she was born September 15, 1921 in Josephine, and grew up on the family farm in Blacklick Township. Mrs. Voiku was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Theresa #562 and the Loyalhanna Quilt Guild. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed playing cards and card games. Surviving are a son, Daniel James Voiku of West Salem, WI; a daughter, Mary Beth Voiku of Rialto, CA; two grandchildren, Joseph Daniel Voiku and Matthew A. Voiku; two brothers, John Lukcik of Blairsville and Frank Lukcik of Blairsville; three sisters, Mary Colench of Blairsville; Ann Orlando of Shrewsbury, NJ and Frances Davis of Blairsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Stephen Dulovic and Andrew Lukcik. The family extends a special thank you to Loyalhanna Care Center for the care Catherine received while in their facility. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Friday in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday. Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
