Thelma Isabell (Fleck) Stitt, 89, of Connelly Springs, NC, formerly of Latrobe, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at her home. The daughter of Edward and Martha Etna (McMeans) Fleck, she was born April 13, 1926 in Derry Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA.
Mrs. Stitt was a member of the Latrobe United Methodist Church, AARP and the Latrobe Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are her son, David B. Stitt and his wife, Edith, of Pine Mountain, NC; six grandchildren, Robert Pyrock, Jason Stitt, Ryan Stitt, Haley Cable, Julie Stitt and Morgan Stitt and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph E. Stitt in December, 1975; a son, Alan D. Stitt; a daughter, Thelma Jean Pyrock; a granddaughter, Donna Pyrock; six brothers, Kenneth J. Fleck, Edward H. Fleck; Thomas M. Fleck, William W. Fleck, James L. Fleck and Carl Copollo and two sisters, Laura Daines and Minnie Stout.
The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Chris Morris officiating.
Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
