Marian "Dee-Dee" (Hogan) Libengood, 71, of Blairsville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Joseph L. and Iva M. (McGinity) Hogan, she was born June 21, 1944 in Indiana, PA. Her family was her whole life. She loved to go for coffee with her friends, read, sing, plant flowers, Facebook and make people smile Dee-Dee was a masterful encourager and counselor. Surviving are three children, Jeffrey C. Libengood, William J. Libengood and Angel L. Libengood, all of Blairsville; two sisters, Grace Gromley of Indiana and Sally Ashbaugh of Clymer and former husband, good friend and father, Clayton Libengood and his wife, Janet of Penn Run. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, David Hogan and Joe Hogan. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with her son, Jeff Libengood leading the service. Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
