Harry Thomas Sigafoes, 90, of Blairsville, PA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his home. The son of Frank P. and Blanche E. (Rummel) Sigafoes, he was born January 20, 1925 in New Alexandria, PA. Harry was a US Army veteran of World War II, former business owner with his wife, Helen, of H&S Sales and Service, Blairsville. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, and various organizations including, Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, Coudersport Consistory, life member of BPOE #406, American Legion Post #0407 and National Rifle Association. Harry enjoyed hunting, gardening, traveling with his wife, working on the farm and spending time with his family and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Habets and her husband, Jean-Pierre of Blairsville; granddaughter, Chantal Townsend of Blairsville, and her children, Cole and Carly; grandson, Todd Habets and his wife, Michelle of Sacramento, CA and their daughter, Kaitlyn; two sisters, Irene Riffle of Greenville, SC and Dorothy Neppes of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen L. (Patz) Sigafoes on May 3, 2007; three brothers, Wesley, George and Clarence Sigafoes and two sisters, Edna Sigafoes and Martha Roddy. A special thank you to Harry's and his wife, Helen's caregiver, Barbara Windows of Indiana, for her care. In keeping with Harry's wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 18, 2015, in the United Presbyterian Church, 137 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, with Rev. Tom Spiker officiating. Military services will be accorded by Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
