Ronald Eugene Henry, 62, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA. The son of George W. and Naomi (Houser) Henry, he was born December 2, 1952 in Latrobe, PA. Mr. Henry was a member of the West Lebanon Community Church. He graduated from Blairsville High School in 1971 and worked at Blairsville Machine Products for 22 years, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed watching Pittsburgh sports, movies and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, Roman and Aaron. Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer R. Fritz (Chad) of Blairsville; two grandsons, Roman and Aaron; brother, Louis Henry (Dorothy) of Blairsville; brother-in-law, Richard Dies of Homer City; former wife, Brenda (Shaffor) Henry of Blairsville, who continued to be his best friend and caregiver; two aunts, Joyce Polojac and Edith A'Cito, both of Jeannette and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 2002; his mother on April 13, 2015 and a sister, Bernadette Dies. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Fritz officiating. Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
