Lois Ann (Ankney) Gould, 86, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA. The daughter of Burrell A. and Marian J. (Jack) Ankney, she was born May 4, 1928 in Blairsville, PA. Mrs. Gould lived her entire life in the Blairsville area and graduated from Blairsville High School in 1946. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, and Blairsville Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed her beach vacations, going to camp and jigsaw puzzles. Surviving are three children, a son, Dennis Gould and wife, Nancy of Blairsville; two daughters, Lou Ann Sherba of Blairsville and Brenda Mahoney and husband, Peter of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Bryan Gould, Jenley Schillow, Cory Leigey, Shaylyn Mahoney and Holly Mahoney and a brother, Jack A. Ankney of Blairsville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack W. Gould on December 30, 2000 and a sister, Sally Dunlap. The family will receive friends from 12 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church, 137 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA with Rev. Timothy R. Monroe officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, PA.
