Mary Louise (Long) Koreni, 80, of Blairsville, PA (Strangford) passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her home. The daughter of Walter and Mary (Potts) Long, she was born July 23, 1934 in Blairsville, PA. Mrs. Koreni was a homemaker and attended the Strangford United Methodist Church and the Bible Baptist Church, Latrobe, PA. She is survived by her son, Michael E. Koreni of Blairsville; a brother, David Long of Worthington; a special friend, Pat Sarra of Blairsville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stephen Michael Koreni on January 1, 1998 and two brothers, Robert Long and James Long. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Brett M. Dinger officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
