William Harrison Delfosse, Jr., 64, of Homer City, PA, formerly of Norfolk, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, PA. The son of William H. Delfosse, Sr. and Meda L. (Henry) Delfosse, he was born July 27, 1950 in New Castle, PA. Mr. Delfosse was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Homer City. He enjoyed golfing and loved his one and only granddaughter, Lorelai and spending time with her. He was a Navy veteran and worked for Sikorsky Aircraft for 34 years, retiring in 2014. Surviving are his wife, Debra J. (Trimble) Delfosse whom he married August 10, 1974; one daughter, Carrie J. Delfosse (fiancé, Richard Thetga) of Nichols, NY; one granddaughter, Lorelai Newman of Nichols, NY; two sisters, Connie Warner (Charles) of New Alexandria and Virginia Adamson (Richard) of Indiana; seven nieces and nephews, Jennifer Smith, Thomas Berkey, Corey Berkey, Matthew Warner, Amy Ashley, Sean Seremet and Matthew Seremet and two great nieces, Emma and Madison Ashley. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jason on July 22, 2011. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Lockard officiating. Interment will be private. Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and American Legion Post #0407.
