Lillian (DiFalco) Sgro, 91, of Blairsville, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana. PA. The daughter of Vincent and Philomena (Fusco) DiFalco, she was born October 1, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA. Mrs. Sgro was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Philadelphia. She lived on Winton St. in Philadelphia for more than 70 years and moved to Blairsville five years ago to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Christina M. Sgro of Blairsville; a sister, Lucy Montie of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Christopher Sgro, Erica Sgro, Justin Sgro, Amanda Sgro, Sarah Sgro and Jordan Sgro and a great grandson, Joshua Jada. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George V. Sgro, Sr.; two sons, George V. Sgro, Jr. in 1998 and Vincent J. Sgro in 2014; two brothers, Frank and Joseph DiFalco and two sisters, Mary Persichetti and Connie Lopresti. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Thursday the time of the funeral mass at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Philadelphia, with Fr. John Pigeon as celebrant. Interment will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
