Susan Keziah (Rose) Lawson, 82, of Aultman, PA, formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. The daughter of Cleveland and Mary (Pottinger) Rose, she was born December 10, 1932 in Latrobe, PA. Mrs. Lawson worked for Season-All Industries, Indiana, for 21 years before her retirement and was a lifetime member of the Blairsville FOE #1488 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family and friends and playing bingo. She showed great strength and courage throughout her life and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Charles E. Lawson whom she married on September 9, 1954 in Baltimore, MD; three daughters, Linda Ray of Josephine; Tammy Gromley (Mark) of Blairsville and Sandra Rhea (Dennis) of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Eric Jones, Malinda Siegler, Tonya Murphy, Samuel Losier and special granddaughter, Brittany Gromley, the love of her life; several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sharon E. Losier in 2011; two brothers, Harry Rose and Samuel Rose and three sisters, Gladys Munchinski, Ruth Patti and Martha Kolish. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Wayne Rhodes officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
