Ray Anthony "Flintstone" Bowser, Sr., 62, of Homer City, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home. The son of J. Ralph and Irene G. (Rutherford) Bowser, he was born March 11, 1952 in Huntingdon, PA. Ray graduated from Huntingdon Area High School in 1971 and had worked as a truck driver for D. R. Lichtenfels Trucking, Perfetti Trucking and D & D Truck Lines. Surviving are his wife, Miriam L. (Cochran) Bowser whom he married August 4, 1973; two sons, Ray A. Bowser, Jr. (Jennifer) of Black Lick and Jason R. Bowser of Homer City; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Robert, Jason, Kaylie and Cloe. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jay and Richard Bowser and a sister, Kay Guyer. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Fred W. Craig officiating. Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
