Robert Wayne Gray, 84, of Latrobe, PA passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. The son of Harvey T. and Dorthy L. (Vought) Gray, he was born May 16, 1930 in Coal Run, PA. Mr. Gray was the owner of Gray Gas & Oil, Greensburg, for 21 years, retiring in 1980 and following his retirement he started farming in Saltsburg. He was a Korean War veteran, having served in the Air Force and was a member of the Blairsville VFW Post #5821, Ligonier American Legion, and Derry Ukrainian Club. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, M. Jean (Berkey) Gray whom he married January 22, 1955; two daughters, Roberta E. Ohr of Greensburg and Linda K. Montgomery (Roger) of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Dr. James Ohr, Tracy Miller, Robert Montgomery, Michael Montgomery and Jenna Montgomery; five great grandchildren, Adin Miller, Taylor Miller, Brendan Ohr, Alaina Ohr and Maddox Montgomery; one brother, Bruce Gray of Latrobe; two sisters, Vera Cassa of Manor and Janell Horning of Berlin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Earl Gray and one sister, Carmelita Jones. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Sherman H. Berkey officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA. Military services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post #5821 and the American Legion Post #0407.
