Frederick Wilkins III, 76, of New Alexandria, PA passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at his home. The son of Frederick Wilkins II and Jeannette Wilkins, he was born December 29, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Wilkins was an independent professional truck driver for 35 and owned his business of Fred's Eggs, where he sold his eggs to specialty stores. He loved taking care of his horses and dogs on the farm, enjoyed going to the casinos and watching professional wrestling. Surviving are his wife, Vivian B. (Pifer) Wilkins whom he married June 25, 1990; one daughter, Valeria Shafer of Pittsburgh; three stepchildren, Diana Venturino Witalis (Scott) of Cranberry Twp.; Charles Venturino (Suzy) of Blairsville and Lisa Venturino of Pittsburgh and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Frederick Wilkins IV. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Brian Werner officiating. Interment will be in Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
