Loretta Marie (Quick) Shaffer, 72, of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA. The daughter of Paul B. and Dorothy M. (Marshall) Quick, she was born April 9, 1942 in Morrisdale, PA. Mrs. Shaffer attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Homer City. She worked for Pediatric Services of America, retiring in 2003 and enjoyed working in her garden and collecting dolls. Surviving are a daughter, Kelly Pividori (Mark) of Josephine; a son, John F. Shaffer of Blairsville; four grandchildren and a sister, Linda Bowman of Graceton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Shaffer on January 18, 1998; two sisters, Iona Herrity and Debra Bush and two brothers, Paul Quick and Danny Bush. As per Loretta's wishes, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, with Rev. Ronald Wallace officiating.
