William Charles Dablock, 89, of Blairsville, PA (Derry Twp.) passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. The son of Joseph E. and Rose T. (Gerchman) Dablock, he was born February 3, 1925 in Baggaley, PA. Bill was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church, UAW #1095, Latrobe, and SNPJ Lodge #318, Baggaley. He was employed by Kennametal, Chestnut Ridge Plant, for 33 years, retiring in 1985 and he also worked 10 years on weekends for Bixler's Garage, Blairsville. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and woodworking. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, especially to his sister, Josephine. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Dorothy N. (Shearer) Dablock whom he married on May 28, 1948; a son, Barry A. Dablock (Bonnie) of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two daughters, Donna Dablock of Ligonier and Deborah Christopher (Tom) of Blairsville; four grandchildren, Brian Christopher, Eric Christopher, Nathan Dablock and Danielle Dablock; five great grandchildren, Max, Owen and Ava Christopher and Shannon and Ryan Dablock; and a sister, Josephine Dablock of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank and Joseph Dablock. As per Bill's wishes there will be no visitation. Services and interment in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, will be private.
